Walkthrough Protocol
Gather information on instructional practices and student learning in a 3-5 minute visit. The purpose of the SD Catholic walkthrough process is to provide formative feedback to support the teacher growth process in order to drive a cycle of continuous improvement. Formal Observation
At least one formal observation must be conducted for every teacher at a school site. The formal observation forms should be kept in the employee's personnel file.
The formal observation process has 3 parts:
End of Year Evaluation
Each teacher should receive a formal evalution at the end of each school year. The evaluation form should be kept in the employee's personnel file.
